About Us


Court of Eternity is a Sylvari only Nightmare Court roleplay Guild with an emphasis on cooperative storytelling and in-lore political themes.The Guild has both a heavy focus on political intrigue and darker themes utilized in what is viewed as a traditional Nightmare Court.We are a lore-friendly based Guild with an interactive plot utilizing mission style and social events to create an immersive and interesting world.


What Makes Us DifferentWith an innovative and more defined role structure, CoE focuses on character interactions via faction wars and political plays. This allows for more in-depth exploration and individual growth, and gives players the ability to influence the direction and structure of the Guild's internal society as a whole.
Additional ActivitiesOutside roleplay we play other games together and often hang out in voice chats. Do Guild missions and are working on upgrading/fully decorating our Guild hall. We have had interest in Raids, Strikes, and Fractals but need more bodies for full Guild runs.
What is ‘Heavy’ Roleplay?Heavy roleplay is roleplay that is more in depth than the average tavern scene. We roleplay with full paragraphs of prose. That is not to say that you’ll never find fast-paced dialogue-focused scenes, but the general experience is a longer, more sedate time.

Don't Be a Dick


No GodmoddingThis is defined as posting or controlling actions of characters that belong to other players without express permission. This also includes ignoring the actions or presence of other characters, adversaries or environment during events or interacting with others.
No MetagamingThis is defined as having your character act upon information that is given, presented or stated out-of-character and utilized in-character when the character would have no way of knowing to act upon the information.
No MetapostingThis is defined as posting information that other players can not interact with in-character. Such as emoting a character's private thoughts and feelings in a way that can not be viewed or acknowledged by others.
Golden RulesPlayers & characters are completely separate and are to be kept as such. Character actions are not player actions. CoE is a lore-respecting guild. While we encourage creativity, we ask that expansions be rooted in lore! If it can be explained or reasoned into lore, it’s welcome!
Narrative ConsequencesWithin the Guild narration, actions as in life do have consequences. That being said, unless wished by the player, character death is not on the table. However, if a character acts in a way that tickles a person in power a certain way or pushes themselves past a limit, the character may face consequences of their actions.
